Gilbert Z. Mares, LUTCF 


     In 1975, Gilbert began his career in the insurance and financial services industry, working with a large estate and business planning firm in downtown Los Angeles. He opened his practice in 1987, to better serve his clients needs. Gilbert served on the executive board of NAIFA Los Angeles, National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors, and later served as President from 2004-2005.


     Gilbert attended Cal Poly Pomona and received his B.S. in Political Science in 1971. He received his Master’s in Public Administration from University of Southern California. He is active in the Los Angeles community and has served as two time President of the Los Angeles Host Lions Club.  He has a passion for providing the gift of sight and as a Lion, they help save the eye sight of 30 million worldwide. During 2011, Gilbert will continue taking specialized courses in the field of advance planning and hopes to receive his credentials as a Financial Service Specialist.


 


 Michael Mares  


      Michael is the son of Gilbert Mares and has been an influential associate for almost 5 years.  Michael attended UC Berkeley and received a B.S. in Political Science in 2006. He was elected President of Delta Upsilon Fraternity and participated in SAGE Scholars, Students Achievement Guided Experience.


      After receiving his California Insurance License in 2006, he was an active participant with the board at NAIFA, National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors. He served in the areas of Membership and Young Advisor Team Chair. Recently, Michael was invited to serve on the board for the Eagle Scout Association of San Gabriel Valley, as he is a proud Eagle Award Recipient.
